Sample Tour Plan : Seven nights and Eight

01 : |
Arrive
at Camp Forktail Creek.Depart Delhi early
morning. Arrive at the Camp Forktail Creek
by lunch. Evening walk into the surrounding
forest to observe the flora and fauna of the
area. Back to camp by sundown for campfire
and barbecue. Dinner and overnight at Camp. |

02 : |
Camp
Forktail Creek to Borad village.Early morning
breakfast and depart from Camp through the
old forest Batia (local for walk track) towards
the village of Borad. Packed lunch at Bhatoli
village and onward follow the old district
board road to Borad - a pretty village set
amidst thick Sal forest. Spend the evening
at the village. Overnight in tents. |

03 : |
Borad to Kartkinaul.Start
early morning after breakfast and follow
the old district board road to Kartkinaul
village. This is the track, which was used
by Jim Corbett when he visited the area
in search of the Man-eater of Mohan in the
early 19th century. Arrive at Kartkinaul
village by evening and spend the night at
the Foresters hut where Corbett once stayed.

04 : |
Kartkinaul
to Barghat.Back on the trail after and early
breakfast towards the Ramganga valley. Enter
the valley through Chimtakhal and head onwards
to Barghat a small hamlet on the banks of
the Ramganga River. Overnight at Barghat in
tents. |

05 : |
Barghat
to Chaknakl.After breakfast start hike towards
the Chaknakl chaur - where the man-eater of
Mohan was finally killed by Corbett. Enroute
we visit the 'Chunars' - a Hill tribe who
carve pots out of wood. The Chunars migrate
from the upper reaches of the Himalayas in
the winter months and stay on the banks of
the Ramganga River to develop their crafts.
Overnight at the village of Kalakhand in tents. |

06 : |
Chaknakl
- Domunda to Camp.Start after an early breakfast
downstream to Domunda - The confluence point
of the Ramganga and Mandal rivers. Enroute
we visit the Gujjars - the most prominent
nomadic tribe in these forest. Herdsmen by
nature the Gujjars are very warm people and
have a strong but neglected bonding with these
jungles. Picnic lunch at Domunda. Onwards
hike back to the Chimtakhal ridge and transfer
back to Camp Forktail Creek by jeeps. Overnight
at the Camp |

07 : |
Depart
for Delhi.Bid goodbye to your Naturalist and
the rest of the team and depart for Delhi
after breakfast.
